Air MD has four years experience in mold inspections. A mold inspection is really a moisture intrusion inspection. ALL MOLD GROWTH is caused by moisture. During an inspection I look for areas that are currently wet or have been wet. The main goal is to determine why the mold growth is present and to put together a plan to correct the moisture intrusion. There are five levels of mold inspection services

1. Limited inspection: This is when you only go to a specific client defined area of the home. Limited air sampling is optional.

2. Mold Screen: This level of inspection utilize a visual assessment of the entire home, identifies “red flags” for mold and optional limited mold sampling if mold is found.

3. Mold Survey: The value of this service is that it identifies causes and provides corrective measures for all mold sources discovered in the home. This services mainly used once a problem has been identified and remediation specification are needed.

4. Clearance Testing: Clearance Testing is designed to determine the success of the remediation efforts. A contaminate area has been established and remediation was done with in that containment area.

5. Post-Cleaning Testing: Post-Cleaning Testing is also designed to determine the success of remediation efforts. The difference between clearance and Post-cleaning Testing is that no containment will be in place.
