Air MD uses the best equipment, germicides disinfectants and methods available to complete the project in a professional and timely manor. All New York Department of Health guidelines are followed. Procedure for remediation: * Determine the cause of the moisture intrusion. * Create a plan to cure the moisture intrusion from reoccuring. * Remediate and clean affected areas free of mold. * Clearance Test to assure the project was completed properly. * Reconstruct the building to its original state. Mold remediation is classified in four levels. 1. Level One: Level one is less than 10 continuous square feet of visible mold growth. Anyone can clean these small areas. Ware gloves and an N 95 particulate mask, as well as goggles to protect you health. Wash you cloth when finished 2. Level two: Level two is 10 to 30 continuous square feet of mold growth. Ware protective clothing, eye ware, N95 mask contain the area block off HVAC system heap vacuum area before removal. Some mold cleanup training is needed. 3. Level Three: Level three is 30 to 100 continuous square feet of mold growth. Ware protective clothing eye ware N95 mask or better. Contain the area with a plastic wall shut down and cover the HVAC system. Bring in air scrubbers and run a negative air. Evacuate people from the area during cleaning. Professional cleaning is recommended. 4. Level Four: Level four is over 100 continuous square feet of mold growth. Update to the next level of protection. Evacuate the work area as well as adjacent areas. A project like this may be over seen by a health and safety professional. Extra containment is required. A project like this should only be done by professionals. Proper procedures need to be followed to avoid contaminating other part of the building. |
